Bennetts Point Bulkhead

Nix Construction recently completed the installation of 460 linear feet of composite sheet pile bulkhead at the McKenzie Field Station for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in Bennetts Point, near Green Pond, South Carolina.

The facility had experienced ongoing riverbank erosion due to the absence of an existing bulkhead, threatening the long-term stability of the riverbank. To address this issue, Nix Construction installed a durable composite sheet pile bulkhead designed to protect the property from future erosion while providing a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution. This project helps preserve the field station's shoreline and ensures the site remains protected for years to come.
